The decision by the AKSG to suspend chiefs Joseph Samuel Udo of Ikot Otong
Nsit in Nsit Ibom local government, Christianus Jackson Ekpedeme of Ikot
Esenam in Oruk Anam and Asuquo Sunday Udokoro-Ntuen of Oboetim Ikot Ekong in
Nsit Ibom will certainly send a clear message to other village heads to
preemptively take necessary actions to seek and root out any villagers who might
be plotting kidnapping of innocent citizens.
It will force village chiefs to be fully responsible for the clandestine
actions of the villagers under the watch of the village heads.
Finally, the government's effort to rid the state of kidnapping will
receive genuine supports from the village heads because they will function as
equal partners in the effort to curb violent crimes in the state.

- Governor Akpabio and his accomplishments
- By: Ignatius Idio (iidio@aol.com)

If Governor Akpabio's administration has accomplished so much in 2 years
since assumption of office, I am very optimistic that better days are within
reach of the common citizens in the state. Let me suggest that the citizens
will not mind to be levied a few Kobo or Naira fees on gasoline as a source
of revenue to maintain the roads. Tolls on the use of the state roads by
commercial vehicles should be levied to generate revenues for use in
maintaining the road networks in the state. If the government puts in place some
structures for regular upkeep of the newly commissioned roads and other
infrastructure, then they will be sustainable for years to come.

- Letter to the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, His Excellency, Chief (Dr.) Godswill Akpabio

Please, I am sending this letter to the editor to please assist the musicians in telling the incumbent governor that the right of the musicians in Akwa Ibom State has not been given to them. His cabinet members are the bone of contentions here. Those who dance around him have not allowed the right of this people to be given. Always hoarding the right of the people. I can't imagine a yoruba, ibo or hausa musician being picked to entertaint our people on Ibom Day or end of the year party. An average Ibibio man does not understand those tongues. This can not happen in Ijebu Ode. Please help the musicians by notifying the governor to always look into this area to know if the money is being used wisely or given for its purpose. Thanks.
