Commentary: "ANNANG DEVELOPMENT CONGRESS (ADC) CONGRATULATES GOV.AKPABIO" by: Victor Udo, PhD Annang Development Congress (ADC), an emergent Think Tank and Advocacy Group for sound public policy and sustainable development in Akwa Ibom and Nigeria, in solidarity with all Akwaibomites in the Diaspora and at Home, hereby congratulates His Excellency, Chief Dr. Godswill Obot Akpabio on his reelection as the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State. We also congratulate his running mate Deputy Governor Elect, Obong Nsima Ekere. During his first term in office, His Excellency has demonstrated uncommon transformation in all aspects of governance, leadership and infrastructural development, which has changed Akwa Ibom State forever. His accomplishments across the entire state have rekindled the hope of Akwa Ibom people in each of the 31 Local Government Areas thus making our state the envy of Nigeria. We relish in your unparallel performance as a proud son of Annang soil. We call on all Akwa Ibom to allow the will of the people, exercised through the polls to reign. We call on all opposition parties to leave the administration unencumbered so they can flesh out and complete the transformation of Akwa Ibom. Unnecessary litigations post elections without grounds is unwelcome distraction at a time when the people need unity statewide, to drive the industrialization of Akwa Ibom. We in ADC pledge our abiding loyalty and will continue to support and advocate for justice, equity and the rule of law, as we call on all stakeholders in Akwa Ibom to join hands with the Akpabio/Ekere Administration and work towards the sustainable development of our motherland, Akwa Abasi Ibom State. Long Live Akwa Ibom State of Nigeria! Long Live the Federal Republic of Nigeria! We hereby append our consent and signatures this 6th day of May in the Year 2011.
