Commentary: PNF-USA congratulates President Goodluck Jonathan in his successful bid for the presidency of the Federal Republic of Nigeria by: Acho Orabuchi Pan Ndi-Igbo Foundation USA (PNF-USA, INC.) congratulates you, President Goodluck Jonathan and celebrates with you for winning the presidency of Nigeria in a very credible, fair and free election. We want you to know that well meaning Nigerians in the Diaspora and, we believe the same for those within the borders of Nigeria , are very grateful and proud of what Nigerians have done collectively in this election cycle. PNF-USA commends your efforts and commitment to keeping Nigeria free of corruption and we can attest to that with you pick of Professor Jega to head INEC. You and Professor Jega have demonstrated very well that Nigeria still have good leaders who can be trusted and can perform credibly. Many well meaning foreign governments, foreign press corps and observers have described this year’s election as a land mark election destined for the history books and it is oblivious that it would be referenced for many years to come due to the free and fairness manner the elections have been conducted. PNF-USA couldn’t be happier and we hereby urge those leaders whom the majority of the Nigerian electorate, did not choose to show their leadership by calming down the emotions of their supporters. Also, we strongly condemn all acts of violence perpetrated by the opposition leaders or their supporters concerning the outcome of the election. It is the responsibility of opposition leaders to accept the results of a credible election and advise their supporters to eschew violence. In every contest one person must always emerge as a winner. In this case, Goodluck Jonathan emerged as a winner based on the overwhelming support the Nigerian electorate gave him. Therefore, there is no amount of violence in a concentrated part of the country that will change the decision of the people. We encourage the federal government to use all necessary actions to quell these destabilizing cowardice actions. Innocent people have lost their lives because of barbaric actions of the minority. It is unacceptable! The opposition should remember that democracy is not a rule of lawlessness but rather a rule of the law by the majority and the majority of Nigerians have spoken loud and clear with their votes. Congrats Mr. President and my God bless you and grant you the wisdom to lead Nigeria to better days ahead. Once again, congratulations! God bless you!! God Bless Nigeria!!!
