Commentary: "Letter of Appeal to the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly"
by: Bright

I am delighted to write you through this medium. And I also salute your magnanimity for given us the privilege to bear our mind as concerning the affairs of the state in its entirety.

With utmost regard, I want to also use this medium to salute the State House Assembly for its aesthetic style of leadership. The house has displayed sublime virtues in all its dealings as regard the state.

However, I wish to state that some sections of the state are being deprived from enjoying the good work the state government have been doing and are being treated with disparage. I am agitating for my village, Ikot Ntuen in Oruk Anam L.G.A., which is also the village of ITAK BOB EKARIKA and UDOMA BOB EKARIKA, both are respected men in the state but they have not being fair to the constituency in which they represented in the passed. They command no respect any more because they lack sincerity in their service. They are lackluster in their approach to serving humanity and their father land. I want them to be removed from all governmental office because they are liabilities to the state. And should be stop from contesting for any election or position whatsoever.

Sir,Projects were mentioned/listed that the state government has executed and commission, but the huge project in my village (IKOT NTUEN) was not included even though it has been completed for a very long time now. I mean the school that has been built for several years now (close to 9 years) without commissioning and kickoff. ITAK BOB/UDOMA BOB FAMILY MEMBERS has been vandalizing the school building. They are our eyes in the state government. They were supposed to extend internal democracy to us the villagers through their upright representation. They have failed. Udoma was supposed to arranged for the commissioning of the project while he was still in office as commissioner for works but he was so naive and bedeviled to know that the people needs this project for development. ITAK's village is the poorest of all in Akwa-ibom state. They are killing us.

The school is one of the tertiary institution that suppose to have commence operation but has not commence operation because of the wickedness of Udoma and Bob Ekarika.

I decided to write to you because I sincerely believe that you are the right commission that can critically track and look into this issue without fear or favour. I am aware that there are committees set up for this purpose, I mean the committee on (Special Project, Monitoring and Implementation). You can go to the school site in Ikot Ntuen by Ikot Okoro junction in Oruk Anam L.G.A. to see it yourself. It is not far from Ibagwa Bridge. The state government as spent a lot of money on the projects, you need to see the beauty of the site, well designed.

I urge the speaker of the House of Assembly to use his veto power on this matter so that the abandoned school can commence operation.

The rule of law must take its course. Let Itak Bob and Udoma Bob Ekarika and all those involvedbe invited by the state House of Assembly for questioning and possible prosecution in connection to the abandoned school where a lot of government funds has been utilized.

Militancy and all forms of social vises are mostly cause by betrayal. We represent peace, tranquility, justice and will not want to engage in any form of social misconduct.

I count on you to do justice to this injustice as that will help bring development to the area and also enable us to benefit from the dividend of democracy and the benevolent of the state governor, Barr. Godswill Akpabio.

Thanks,
BRIGHT
